NBA with DTA (Joint Venture partner Don Todd & Associates) provided construction management and office engineering services for this 98,000 sq. ft. detention facility containing 105 sleeping rooms. This is a highly programmed, full-service detention facility with associated educational, recreational, healthcare, religious and other support services. This replacement project for the San Francisco Juvenile Hall is sited on a steep hillside. The site, and the need to relate to existing structures, resulted in a creative design solution. The design includes a new connection between the existing detention building and the Youth Guidance Center, and improvements to overall site security.
