
San Francisco International Airport Terminal–Mechanical Engineering Services for Areas A & G and T3 Boarding Area F (United) Checked Baggage Screening Areas & Temporary Facility - San Francisco, CA
NBA's scope of work included site visits for visual observation and verification of mechanical & utilities as-built drawings. NBA reviewed existing as-built HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection for both boarding areas A & G and boarding area F (United) around new CBRA areas (ramp level). NBA provided an HVAC demo plan for the CBRA room, as well as HVAC load calculations. NBA also provided design (plans and specs), Title 24 and cost estimates for the new HVAC system and duct distribution for the two new CBRA rooms. NBA designed the existing CTX9000 machine condensate drain. We relocated the storm drain and other piping on the way of the new system. NBA personnel assisted during the bid process by responding to RFI’s and attending the pre-bid conference. The scope of construction administration included responding to contractor’s RFI’s, reviewing equipment submittals, reviewing equipment substitutions (maximum 25%), attending site visits, and backchecking the HVAC punch list for each area.
