This project consisted of replacing steam central plant for the entire campus with modular boiler system for eleven (11) buildings, including a gymnasium, student activities center, and the science and administration building on campus.  The main gas piping system that served these buildings was modified and additions were made to it.  The boilers were state of the art with the highest efficiency for energy conservation purposes.  In each building, NBA replaced the steam hot water heat exchangers and interfaced them with the existing systems.  Also provided was domestic hot water heating systems for all buildings.  NBA provided construction administration and as-built drawings for this project.  New gas piping was designed throughout the campus and new mechanical rooms were built and existing ones modified to accommodate the new systems.  Routing the boiler flue exhaust through the buildings proved to be a challenge.  As prime consultant on the project, NBA provided complete electrical power and control systems for all the buildings.
