San Francisco’s Alice Fong Yu Alternative School is the country’s first public, K-8, Chinese-Language immersion school. NBA provided mechanical and electrical engineering services to meet fire, safety, and ADA requirements. The project included the design and construction of a new 15,000 s.f. middle school with six classrooms for grades 6-8, a multi-purpose room, library, science teaching laboratory and an arts studio on a 1.8 acre hillside site in San Francisco’s Inner Sunset neighborhood. This project went through DSA approval process was designed with CHPS Guidelines.
